Sports competition suspended to mourn for mudslide victims
The 10th Sports Meet of Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) was suspended for one day on Aug. 15, as the State Council, China's cabinet announced that public entertainment should be postponed Sunday to mourn for mudslide victims in Zhouqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.
The events planned on Aug. 15 are to be postponed till August 16.
Meanwhile, the closing ceremony of TAR’s 10th Sports Meet is also expected to be held on Aug. 16.
