10th Sports Meet of TAR wraps up
After 9 days of competition, the 10th Sports Meet of Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) wrapped up on Aug. 16, 2010.
Wu Yingjie, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of TAR, Aten, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of TAR and Sonam Dorma, vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference attended the closing ceremony of the event.
This fruitful sports meet documented 26 new records of 16 games.On the medal tally, delegation of the regional education system ranked No.1, scoring 430 with a total of 27 gold medals.
Besides, 11 groups, 71 individuals and 19 judges were granted Sportsmanship Award at the closing ceremony.
