A total of 1,758 people from 505 households are moving from the emergency tent shelters to the Zham Township residence community in Samdrup Zi District of Shigatse City.

Community police stations, financial service centers, kindergartens, and shops are all now available for use in abundance. The houses are equipped with simple Tibetan furniture, and heating equipment is being prepared for installation.

A 1,500-square-meter complex will be fully constructed by the middle of November providing a grouping of offices, cafeteria space and entertainment facilities all in one location upon which the function of the residence community will be further improved, and life will be made more convenient for local residents.
