Starting from June 9, Emetang scenic area, hailed as the “most beautiful flower sea on grassland”, offers free entrance to the public for two months, Sichuan Daily reported.

Emetang, located in Hongyuan County in Sichuan Province, is a 4-star natural cultural scenic area. The facilities in the area are comparatively well equipped, including a 1,000-room Tibetan culture-themed tent hotel and featured wooden villa in accordance with 5-star standards, which can accommodate 2,000 people in its lakefront central dining area, 1,000 camping tents, and can accommodate 10,000 vehicles in its large parking lot.

In addition to nature sightseeing, tourists can sample yak meet and yak milk yoghurt, experience plateau hot springs, grass skiing, horseback riding, hot-air balloon sightseeing, and other leisure activities.

The Hongyuan Grassland is the closest grassland to Chengdu City. Each year beginning in June, a sea of flowers within a radius of three square kilometers blooms, lasting till October.
