The Lhasa-Nyingchi highway to create a landscape corridor

The Lhasa-Nyingchi Highway starts in Lhasa city and ends in the Bayi township located in the Bayi Township of Nyingchi, boasting a length of 409.2 kilometers, it has four lanes, designed for speeds of 80 kilometers per hour and it is estimated that there is a total static investment of 38 billion RMB.

In order to construct the Lhasa-Nyingchi highway as an ecologically as a green corridor and furthermore as a large-scale scenic route, the Tibet Autonomous Region Forestry Department under scientific leadership and strict supervision is insisting on principles that help in avoiding damage, disturbance or plural recovery, therein implementing afforestation of the hillsides paralleling the Lhasa-Nyingchi highway while planting grass and more.

While travelling along the road, you have a panoramic view of the villages and trees on both sides. As a high starting point project with high investment standards and high-quality implementation as the precept, another scenic route between Lhasa and Nyingchi is being created.
