Reputed as "cradle of life", the Sanjiangyuan Area in Qinghai province of northwestern China is the source of the Yangtze River, the Yellow River and the Lancang River. In 2016, in response to the call of promoting ecological progress from the central government, Qinghai attempted to build the area into a national-level park to better protect the ecosystem of the region.
