Dressing guide in Tibet's four seasons

1. Spring (March-May)

Top

Jackets: leisure jackets, outdoor clothing, sportswear. We advise that you wear a two-layered coat or one can keep out the cold. Under that, wear warm materials such as wool. If you are sickly or easily cold, add more layers.

Pants: outer layers: Pants that are a little thick should be just fine. Long underwear can be worn for added warmth.

Underwear:Generic cotton is fine; just make sure you bring enough for when you need to wash them.

Shoes: hard bottom travel shoes, outdoor shoes, and sneakers are most suitable. High-top or hiking shoes are best for visiting the scenic areas like Mt. Qomolangma, Ngari Prefecture, Medog County of Nyingchi City.

At this time of the year, travelers entering Tibet will be rushing to see the peach blossoms in Nyingchi. The weather is still a bit nippy. Because you will most likely be moving a lot, wear relaxed sportswear or casual. Lightweight and comfortable shoes are most important.

2. Summer (June-August)

4. Winter (December-February)
