Qambaling Monastery in Tibet
The towering Qambaling Monastery of Chamdo is known as the "pearl of eastern Tibet".
Built in 1444, the Qambaling Monastery is one of the largest Tibetan Buddhism monasteries of Gelug Sect. The monastery gains its name from the main worshipping Buddha called Qamba Buddha.
The buildings including the scripture hall and the printing house are well preserved with Buddhist statues, murals and Thangka paintings, which show the most exquisite craftsmanship in Chamdo.
The monastery is featured with its sorcerer's dance performed only at the annual Butter Lamp Festival to exorcise the ghosts and pray for good harvest in the coming year.
The Qambaling Monastery now accommodates over 500 monks.

Karub Ruins
One of the three large primeval cultural ruins in Tibet and from the New Stone Age, the Karub ruins has a 4,000 year history. They are located in Karub Village, Jagka District, and are 12 kilometers to the southeast of Chamdo County seat. The ruins have an elevation of 3,100 meters and cover an area of 10,000 square meters. Studies have provided they were once a large scale primeval village.
No regular buses to go there, tourists have to ask for a lift or take a taxi in Chamdo County seat. It takes about 100 yuan by taxi for going and back.

Ranwu Lake
Ranwu Lake in Chamdo is just by the Sichuan-Tibet road, surrounded by glaciers and snowy mountains. Thawed snow makes the body, the water shows different colors in different seasons, from aquamarine to turquoise. By the lake are the verdant grassland and plants.
