LHASA, Apr. 2nd-The voting results of "My favorite hotels, scenic spots in Tibet" have been unveiled, China Tibet Online reported.

Scenic spots, including the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, Mount Everest, the Potala Palace and some Tibet's star hotels are on the list.

More than 150 scenic spots and over 130 Tibet's star hotels or Tibetan-style home inns participated in this voting activity. The voting, by internet or short messages, were launched on Jan. 19 and closed on Mar. 19, 2011.

The voting aims at highlighting Tibet's unique features and making Tibet tourism more attractive, said an official with the Tourist Administration of Tibet Autonomous Region. 

Millions of people took part in the voting, casting more than 8.17 million votes, among which about 6.14 million by Internet and 2.04 million by text messages.

The scenic spots, such as the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, Mount Everest, the Potala Palace, Lhamoila Co, the Norbulingka, Yumbulagang and Lake Namtso are selected into the list of "My favorite hotels, scenic spots in Tibet. The hotels on the list include Lhasa Hotel, Nyingchi Restaurant, Mount Everest Hotel, Yarlung Zangbo Grand Hotel, Tashi Chotag Family Inn, etc.
