First China-Nepal rafting race to be held in Lhasa

On June 1, athletes tested out rafting conditions on the Yarlung Tsangpo River. The first China-Nepal International Friendly Rafting Race is to be held on June 16 on the Yarlung Tsangpo River near Nyemo County in Lhasa, capital of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, according to information from the region’s Sports Bureau. On June 17, a China-Nepal rafting forum is also to be held.
