2007 2nd Tibet Namtso International Hiking will be held from August 4 to 7 in Lhasa, sources from a press conference by Lhasa Tourism Bureau on July 12.

With the topic  of "Creating Plateau Tourism Brand, Displaying Tibetan folk feature, Promoting international cultural exchange, Cheering for Beijing Olympics", the Hiking has invited the famous Chinese talkshow host, Cui Yongyuan as the prolocutor.

Vice leader of Tibet Mountaineering Team Wangyel is appointed as the general coach. Delegates from Japan and other international hiking organizations will attend the hiking.

The three-day Hiking will depart at the gate of Namtso, and conclude at Tashi Island with total 62 kilometers.

Folk traditional horse race, garbage-collecting and photography contest are also the main parts of the Hiking.

By now, more than 150 hiking fans from home and abroad have signed up for the Hiking.
