Beijing Olympic torch to reach Qomolangma peak

Torch of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games will reach the peak of Mt. Qomolangma at the altitude of 8,300 meters, according to Wang Yongfeng, who heads China Mountaineering Team.

On September 19,the opening ceremony of "The information system of the Beijing Olympic torch ralay on Mt. Qomolangma " was jointly held by Legend Group and the Mountaineering Management Center of General Administration of Sports of China .

Wang said that the relay route of 2008 Beijing Olympic torch had been tested for many times to ensure the success.
