The second "Colorful Sacred Arrow" International Folk Archery Tournament (IFAT) and Dutton Culture Festival kicked off in Jianzha County, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Qinghai Province, Sept. 8, 2012.
Athletes from China, the United States, Hungary, Romania, Iran, Turkey, Mexico and other countries all over the world gathered in Jianzha County to communicate and learn from each other by exchanging views and techniques on archery.
Jianzha County, the hometown of Chinese traditional archery, is located in the northeast of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It is rich in tourism recourses, such as Kanbula National Forest geological park.
"Jianzha" means "spiritual paradise" in Tibetan language and the colorful sacred arrow art endues the land living soul and wings for its traditional culture to fly.
