The 2nd Qinghai International Traditional Archery Contest is scheduled to be held in northwestern China’s Qinghai Province from September 7 to 11, according to the press conference held in Beijing on July 15.
By then, contestants from mainland China, Hungary, Korea, Japan, Iran, Turkey, Mexico, Mongolia, Tanzania, America, Rumania, Slovakia and China’s Taiwan will attend the contest.
The contest is a part of the Dadun Cultural Festival, which is a grand celebration Tibetans in Jianzha County usually hold after every archery contest.
The ancient Tibetan archery not only is a way of exercise but functions as a form of entertainment, representing a sort of Tibetan culture.
