Chengdu cyclist spent 10 days riding from Chengdu to Lhasa

41 years old Ding Tao, a Chengdu cyclist spent 10 days riding from Chengdu of Sichuan province to Lhasa, capital of Tibet.

Ding started to ride the old-fashioned bike since 1981. With the rapid economic developments, the styles of bicycles are diversified in nowadays. Due to the fever for bicycles, Ding Tao found a job in bicycle shop and made friends with lots of cycling enthusiasts while installing and maintaining bicycle equipments.

This is the fifth time for Ding Tao to ride from Chengdu to Lhasa. He started from Chengdu at 6 a.m on May 1st and arrived at Lhasa at 11:45 a.m on May 11. He said:" It was 5 hours late than I planned, though riding over 200 km per day. I will keep practising to achieve my ideal goal---9 days."
