Hailed as "peach blossom village" in Nyingchi City of Tibet, Gala Village has recently been decorated by beautiful and fragrant peach blossoms as spring is in the air. Xinhua reported.

With a total of 153 people, the village is becoming well-off thanks to its peach blossoms scenic spot. Local villagers get benefit from tourist services like building family inns and doing transportation service etc. The per capita net income of the village reached over 17,062 yuan last year. Only during the 14th Nyingchi Peach Blossom Cultural and Tourism Festival in 2016, Gala Village received 51,840 tourists and its tourism revenue exceeded 1.2 million yuan, which indicated that tourism industry helped the villagers become rich.

About 11 kilometers away from the Nyingchi City, Gala Village is located along the 318 National Road. Peach Blossom Cultural Tourism Festival has been successfully held fourteen times there since 2003.

With the theme of "paradise on earth: fascinating Nyingchi", the 15th Nyingchi Peach Blossom Cultural Tourism Festival will be opened on March 25. It is estimated that the best period for enjoying the sight of peach blossoms in Nyingchi is from March 15 to April 30 this year, according to experts of Nyingchi Weather Bureau.

As the slogan of "traveling Tibet, beginning with Nyingchi" spreads out, an increasing number of tourists choose Nyingchi as the preferred place to visit.

Nyingchi has made great efforts to create perfect tourism image about enjoying the sight of peach blossom in spring, crossing the immense forest in summer, viewing red autumnal leaves in fall, feeling warm sunshine in winter.

Recently, Nyingchi Tourist Bureau introduced six classic tourism lines, covering "pilgrimage along Nyang River", "magical tour to Shambhala", "discovery journey to canyons and holy mountains", "dream-seeking adventure travel to fairyland", "leisure tour to Bayi Town" and "special tour for experiencing Tibetan culture".

Nyingchi City has set up goals centering on its international eco-tourism area and tourism demonstration zone to not only vigorously promote the strategic pillar industry of ecological tourism but also spare no effort in creating a tourist hotspot city.
