Red foxes have slender figures, pointed mouths, large ears and fluffy hairs on their tails. Their tails are thick and long, and often are more than one second of their body length. The hairs on red foxes’ back are reddish brown or fawn; the back of their ears is black brown; and the private parts and the tail tips are white. Red foxes are distributed mainly in Qamdo, Jomda, Gonjo, Chagyab, Markam, Zuogong and Baxoi.

Otters have streamlined bodies, wide and oblate heads, short mouths, protruding eyes and small and round ears. There are a few short and hard beards in the middle of their chins. They have valves in nostrils and ear canals to prevent water. Otters have long and thin tails and short limbs, and there are webs between their toes. Their hairs are long and thick and vary in color from season to season. The hairs are reddish brown in summer.

Lynxes’s faces look like cats. There is a tuft of hair on their ears. They inhabit in places which are 3,500 to 5,000 meters above the sea level and often appear in forests in high mountains, bushes, grasslands and mountain lands. They are good at climbing and swimming. They feed on marmots, rabbits, blue sheep, Tibetan antelopes and snow cocks.

Snow leopards are an endemic species in the plateaus in Central Asia and are distributed mainly in Tibet and Xinjiang in China. They are a kind of endangered animal and are as rare as South China tigers. At present, there are over 3,000 snow leopards around the world living near the line of perennial snow.
