The relic of Lhagyari Palace is located on an abrupt mountain in Qusum County of Lhoka Prefecture in Tibet with a history dating back to the 13th century.

After long years' natural erosion, the cultural relics in the Lhagyari Palace were damaged in varying degrees.

The palace was listed among China's state-level key cultural relics in 2001, and renovated through a cultural protection project approved by the State Council with an investment of 20.5 million yuan in 2010.

After the project finished, the whole palace was restored to keep its original appearance. Its traditional Tibetan culture gained well protection and inheritance through great efforts in protecting cultural relics and historical documents.
