A session for sharing achievements of outstanding young Tibetans was held on April 30, China Tibet News reported.

So far, Tibet has up to 1,133 affiliate groups, 649 specialized cooperative organizations of farmers and herders as well as 517 non-public economic groups, said Ma Jianguo, deputy director of the Office of the Communist Youth League(CYL) Tibet Committee.

Over the past year, more than 1,450 themed publicity events have been organized, with nearly 400,000 young participants. The events helped guide teenagers of all ethnic groups to strengthen their beliefs in the Party’s guideline of taking the development path with Chinese characteristics and Tibetan features. Young people of different ethnic groups have interacted, communicated and integrated with each other, laying a foundation for solidarity and common development. This year, more than 450 young people were selected in 10 batches to visit and study in other parts of the country, creating 1,120 pals.

The past year also saw an ad hoc fund of 274,225 U.S. dollars allocated for young business startups in Tibet, 912 young farmers were trained, and 20.08 million yuan of micro loans was provided to young entrepreneurs. The Tibet Youth League will make a concerted effort to address the problems associated with youth innovations and entrepreneurship in order to cultivate young entrepreneurs.

Tibet has also held a total of 600 events to raise the youth’s awareness of law in agencies, schools, businesses and communities with 200,000 attendants. It will also use Internet to promote the Constitution, regional ethnic autonomy as well as laws and regulations on the youth’s livelihood aimed to guide them to study the laws, use the law and abide by the law.

Since Tibet’s CYL’s mobilization, 1,371 young people have taken part in activities for environmental protection, planting 23,785 trees of various kinds, and 685 have registered as volunteers.
