Zhang Yongze appointed as Vice Chairman of Tibet Autonomous Region

According to Chinatibetnews.com, on May 17 the following appointment was made at the 32nd session of the Standing Committee of the 10th People's Congress of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region: Zhang Yongze as Vice Chairman of the People's Government of Tibet Autonomous Region; and Zhu Qiang as Secretary General of the People's Government of Tibet Autonomous Region. Meanwhile, the decision was made to remove Fang Lingmin from the positions of Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the People's Government of Tibet Autonomous Region.
 
Zhang Yongze is a 48-year-old Han Chinese from southwest China's Yunnan Province, with a Doctor's Degree in hydraulics and river dynamics. He started work in 1997 and joined the Communist Party of China in March of the year. In 1998, he came to work in Tibet and worked in the Environmental Protection Bureau before moving to the Shannan area of Tibet. In 2015, he was appointed as Secretary of Shannan Municipal Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC).
