Nyang Pavilion: gallery of traditional ethnic culture in Tibet

 Southeast Tibetan Cultural Heritage Museum, is also called Nyang Pavilion, due to its location beside the Nyang River. The Nyang Pavilion, the five-story tower building, with a height of 39 meters and the floor area of over 2,800 square meters, is in Southeast Tibetan Cultural Expo Park, in Nyingchi City, Tibet Autonomous Region of southwest China.  

 

 The museum intensively reveals the traditional culture of all ethnic groups and folk culture, in ethnic costumes, farming culture, hunting culture, religious belief, architectural art etc.      

 

 The hunting culture exhibition hall shows the various kinds of hunting instruments once used by Tibetans in Nyingchi. 

   

The farming culture exhibition hall tells the colorful Tibetan farming culture. 

The religious materials used in the kinds of religious activities. 

The trombone displayed is often used in religious rituals.

The kitchen scene in Nyang Pavilion.   

 

The dome of the Nyang Pavilion also has Tibetan feature.
