The Potala treasure room to be opened
The Potala treasure room will be opened to the public in a few days. Rarities amongst the palace collection will be on display for viewing here. According to the palace management vice researcher Bianbaqiong, the organizers went through tens of thousands of Tibetan items inside of the palace to select 105 of the most excellent ones for exhibition to the public. The Thangka, Buddhist statues, temple instruments, porcelain products and jade artifacts amongst other things all generally are categorized as state-level relics.
