Robots that can sing, dance and clear roadblocks…Roughly 50 teachers from various schools in Tibet were attracted as soon as they entered the classroom, where they would have a three-day training.

The training on science and technology was held in Tibet from May 8, intending to improve the teachers' quality and their science and technology education level, and give them time and space to think in-depth about how to better teach their students.

Teacher Ji Guanghui said, "In daily teaching, the students are very happy to learn about robots. We attach great importance to the development of science and technology courses, and have organized related associations. This kind of course is a great extracurricular choice for students."

During this training, the Tibet Natural Science Museum bought a number of toolboxes to help promote science and technology courses.

Reporters learned from the Tibet Autonomous Region Science and Technology Department that Tibet had already put together a series of science and technology events, including "Science and Technology goes to the Countryside", "Science and Technology Week" and others. Some scientific research bases and laboratories in schools and research institutes have also opened up to the young and farmers on a regular basis.

Research shows that the proportion of the region's citizens with scientific quality in 2015 is nearly 20 times that of 2010.
