Treatment and medicine delivered to northern Tibet
A herdsman receives physical examination
The health department in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region started a medical tour visit to Nagqu Prefecture on Nov 21, 2012.
The medical team is divided into three squads. The first squad, led by Li Luping, deputy director of the Health Department will go to Lingti Town and Tro La Town of Drongyul County. The second one, led by Phuntsog Tashi, vice president of the second People’s Hoppital will be dispatched to Drarun Town in Amdo County. The third squad will head to Namarche Town in Nagqu Prefecture.
Local cadres are given physical examination
The mission of the medical team is to carry out a medical treatment tour, to popularize healthcare knowledge, provide local farmers and herdsmen with physical check and set up medical record for them. Meanwhile, the medical team is aimed at delivering physical check and medical treatment to officials based in the villages working in various fields along the way.
Famrers and Herdemen are listening to healthcare knowledge
At Gerzen Village, Tro La Town of Drongyul County, Li Luping gave free healthcare kits to four local officials, carrying out medical examination for them and disseminating healthcare knowledge. He urged them to take care of their health and contact local health department anytime for inquiry and treatment whenever feeling unwell.
The medical team finished the first day of their tour visit at 9 p.m. In that day, 688 people received medical treatment and diagnosis including 638 farmers and herdsmen, 8 local officials and 42 local cadres.
