Tibet's industrial added value reaches 327 mln yuan in Q1

Tibet's industrial added value reached 327 million yuan(47.90 million U.S. dollars)in the first quarter of this year, up 9.8 percent year on year, according to the Regional Department of Industry and Information Technology.

Tibet took various measures to expand its industries during the period, focusing on the development of traditional Tibetan medicines, cement and highland barley liquor, according to Tibet Daily.

Also, Tibet's transport industry witnessed substantial development in the first quarter by carrying 2.03 million tons of cargo and 18.82 million passengers.
