Lhundrup receives state investment of over 0.1 billion yuan
Lhundrup County of Lhasa, capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), has been newly listed as a comprehensive agricultural development county in 2011 by the State Office of Comprehensive Agricultural Development.
The investment of new projects of comprehensive agricultural development totaled 0.115 billion yuan, covering 65,000 mu and involving 12,124 local people in 1,877 households from two townships and eight villages.
The projects are planned to be implemented from 2011 to 2015. When completed, Lhundrup will improve the irrigation of 40,000-mu land and build up 32,000-mu stable high-yield land. Local farmers and herders involved will also benefit with an increase of the average annual per capita income by up to 1025.1 yuan.
