On June 18, a campaign on energy-saving and emission-reduction was launched in the rural areas of Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR). It is focused on energy saving in the rural people's daily life and production, development of recycled energy, and clean farming, which constitutes an important part of the overall national energy-saving strategy.

The meeting will push forward the rural ecological protection of the whole region.
