Tibet folk collection donation exhibition officially opens

Famous painter, collector, and Tibetology scholar, Ye Xingsheng, opened his Tibet Folk Collection Donation Exhibit on June 7, Tibet Daily reported.

This exhibit is divided into two sections, folk culture and religious art. The folk culture exhibit has seven parts, including ancient civilization, food culture, household art, and clothing, while the religious art exhibit has three parts on thangkas, sculptures, and Dharma instruments.

There are a total of 2,300 pieces in this exhibit, a portion of which are rare treasures from previous dynasties. After evaluation, there were found to be 22 first-level culture relics, 43 second-level relics, and 100 third-level relics.

Ye Xingsheng has been in Tibet for 36 years. His collection of historical Tibetan relics is a comprehensive reflection of Tibet’s traditional culture, the diligent intelligence of the Tibetan people, and the long-standing relations between the Tibetan and Han people.
