Xi urges artists, writers to be confident in Chinese culture

BEIJING, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- PresidentXi Jinpingon Wednesday made a four-point proposal on literary and artistic work, urging Chinese artists and writers to create more excellent works and consolidate their confidence in Chinese culture.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the 10th Congress of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) and the ninth Congress of the Chinese Writers Association (CWA).
