An Egyptian investigation committee has pieced back together the cockpit voice recorder of the EgyptAir flight MS804 that crashed in May.
A statement said that the memory chips weren't damaged.
The committee replaced some other components associated with communication to and from the memory chips.
The committee will try to extract recordings of these units before returning to Cairo for data reading and analysis.
The flight crashed into the Mediterranean en route from Paris to Cairo, killing all 66 people on board.
