Some 400 refugees are now stranded in a camp on the border between Macedonia and Serbia.
The refugees, mostly from Iraq and Syria were the last to enter Macedonia as Balkan countries started shutting down their borders, closing down the migrant route toward Europe earlier this week.
Muhammad Arif, a representative from UN's refugee agency, said that aid agencies are attempting to move the migrants to better conditions.
"What we are trying to achieve for the time being is that they are moved to the site which is a hundred meters from here, to put them in a proper tent, but again that place is not suitable for a long term stay."
The migrants have been refused entry to Serbia.
Arif said they are hopeful that the border will open and the migrants will continue with their journey.
