South Korea's parliament has passed a resolution on North Korea's recent rocket launch.
"I declare that the resolution condemning North Korea's long-range missile launch has passed."
The resolution urges North Korea to stop its provocations and become a responsible member of the international community.
It also calls on the South Korean government to work with the U.N. Security Council to develop strong sanctions against North Korea.
Pyongyang announced on Sunday that it had successfully launched a long-range rocket carrying an earth observation satellite.
The launch renewed international condemnation weeks after the North's fourth nuclear test.
The US, South Korea and many other countries have agreed to adopt tougher new sanctions against Pyongyang.
The United Nations has also vowed to "adopt expeditiously a new Security Council resolution" at an emergency meeting.
North Korea is already banned under U.N. resolutions from testing ballistic missile technology and from staging nuclear tests.
