Ukraine issues roadmap on economic development in 2016
KIEV, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk on Monday unveiled his government's roadmap on boosting the country's economic development and improving the well-being of Ukrainians this year.
The main economic tasks of the cabinet for 2016 are creating new jobs, entering new export markets, improving education and healthcare, developing infrastructure and simplifying administrative services, according to the document posted on the government's website.
To achieve those goals, the government will continue to push forward financial reforms launched in 2015, with a special focus on implementing taxation, justice and decentralization reforms, the document said.
The cabinet's plan also envisages working out an effective mechanism to deepen fight against corruption through attracting foreign experts and establishing closer collaboration between the government and the businesses.
In addition, the document includes a proposal to carry out a large-scale privatization of state-owned property, which is aimed at attracting investment and enhancing the efficiency of the government-run enterprises.
