Will seeds of hatred bear fruits of harmony?

On March 10, 2011, the 14th Dalai Lama delivered his annual statement in Dharamsala, India. It was the 52nd one he has made in history to mark his armed rebellion in 1959 in southwest China's Tibet.

In his statement, his three-paragraph style was doubtlessly kept with the main ideas including defacing China's policies on Tibet, inciting domestic and overseas Tibetans to rebel against the Communist Party of China, calling for compassionate support from the international community. In addition, he made another rhetoric to promote the understanding and friendship between the Tibetans and Hans living abroad, and Tibetans inside Tibet should also try to strengthen ties with their Han brothers and sisters.

Either the Dalai clique's crimes committed in the serious riot in Lhasa on March 14, 2008, or the Tibet Independence activists' frenzy during the Olympic torch relay outside China, or the Dalai Lama's indifference and gloating over the disastrous earthquake in Wenchuan, southwest China's Sichuan Province on May 12, the real face of the Dalai clique could be clearly seen by all Chinese compatriots. Also the hard facts have completely waken up the overseas Chinese who may have some airy imagination about the Dalai Lama.

Actually, it was the Dalai clique's show in 2008 that enabled all Chinese to see through the truth disguised under the Dalai-style smiling face, and uncover the scandalous deeds of the Dalai clique, which resulted in a massive campaign against the Dalai clique's separatist behaviors and the West's rumor mongering and libeling.

The Dalai clique is deeply overwhelmed by the anti-Tibet Independence force of the Chinese people, and many Western politicians have to take it more cautiously regarding their support to the Dalai clique.

In order to change his awkward image in the eyes of the Chinese people inside and outside China, and get more pro-Tibet Independence supporters, the 14th Dalai Lama made further deceitful attempts. Since the end of 2008, the clique has called on all organizations and people outside China to mend relations with overseas Chinese and strengthen ties with the Han people.

On the one hand, the 14th Dalai Lama arranged much more meetings with the overseas Chinese and Chinese media claiming that he had never attempted to create conflicts between the Hans and Tibetans. On the other hand, he indicated he had always tried hard to resolve the Tibet issue on the basis of mutual benefit between the Hans and Tibetans.

The Dalai clique deliberately selected a number of people on behalf of the Han, who have grievance against the Chinese government to communicate online through Twitter. They were organized to express sympathy for Liu Xiaobo, indicating that the 14th Dalai Lama and his clique do not oppose the Han, but value the relationship between the Tibetans and Hans.

On the other hand, the clique recruited a number of outside insurgents and established the Han-Tibetan Friendship Association, held some Tibetan Forums and asked for their suggestions on Tibet Independence.

All these measures had, unfortunately bought about very limited results. The dialogues through Twitter produced no effect on the Chinese Mainland. On the contrary, there are increasing number of activities of resisting the 14th Dalai Lama and his clique. The so-called Tibetan-Han Association, the Han-Tibetan Forum and other organizations are always led by the certain faces, which could not be more familiar to the Dalai Lama. I am afraid that the Dalai Lama himself would be bored. If this is the result expected by the Dalai Lama, people will have to take it as a joke.

In fact, it is the 14th Dalai Lama with merciful rhetoric who stirred up tension and generated hatred between the ethnic Tibetan and Han group.

In his "five-point peace plan" proposed in 1987, known as a model of his "Middle Way", he claimed that all the Han people should be banished from Tibet.

Besides, his declaration issued on Mar.10, 2008 read: "In the past 60 years, all local Tibetans have suffered from the oppression by the Chinese people," and "Tibetans have degraded themselves to be an inferior ethnic minority and quickly been assimilated by the populous Chinese nation."

If the 14th Dalai Lama denied that Tibetans are the Chinese people and that the Tibetan ethnic group is a member of the big family of the Chinese nation, and he also demanded to drive the Han ethnic group out of Tibet, where on earth did it show the "the long and mutual benefit between the Tibetan and Han ethnic group"?

The 14th Dalai Lama has not only agitated the national antagonism, but also taken advantage of the various schools established in India to impart this kind of idea to the young generation born without China in an attempt to pass down the national antagonism and hatred to future generations.

If anyone who dares to face the reality without prejudice and who has visited the Tibetan schools, read the bulletins, took a couple of classes and talked with kids there in Dharamsala, India or Nepal, he/she will find out the source of the extreme nationalist violent sentiments and "hatred to the Han ethnic group", and realize why the Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) that advocates violence can grow bigger day by day.

On August 29, 2009, a splittist named TenzinTsundue who was born in India and close to Dalai Lama, and now lives in Canada posted an article titled "Jiami, Chinese People in Our Imagination" in his blog. Talking about the education situation in China and his own experience, he wrote that "there is an unchangeable image of China: Chinese people are always brutal with no smile in the eyes of Tibetans in exile.” “In the refugee camp, they introduce Tibet ridiculously: The aged Tibetans tell the young their stories and experiences under the rule of the Communist Party of China. The young Tibetans thus grow up with these stories in their mind.” “I remembered that in the film titled Uncle Dondrup, a soldier Khampa killed all the Chinese soldiers with a dagger. At that time, how I wish I could become that soldier! Then, in the refugee camp and at schools, we Tibetan people play games and pretend to kill each other. Those acted as Chinese people are always coward and easy to be defeated."

Most Tibetans born overseas grow up with stories of the cruelty of the Chinese people and the games of killing Chinese told by their elders and teachers. They are actually the victims of the "hatred education" of the Dalai clique. Imagine a person lives under the "hatred education" and violence of killing each other. How could he not be mentally twisted and become abnormal? Could he know how to respect the society and love human beings as normal children grow up in love? Could he establish the good relations with Chinese people who have been killed in his mind for thousands of times?

The education of universal hostility has influenced the attitude of the new generation of Tibetans in India and Nepal not only toward the Han Chinese, but also toward the Tibetans who used to work in China's government system and who keep contacts with the Hans, who are treated as traitors. One can easily imagine what the Tibetans will suffer from if the Dalai clique takes the dictatorship.

Even Tibetans who were agitated to get to India from Tibet and other Tibet-inhabited areas have experienced discrimination and marginalization. They are called Saque (meaning newcomer) to mark the difference; and they are required to revile the Hans and to the Chinese government and must keep an Indian life style as the Tibetan Indians do. As to the singing & dancing culture, they are forced to conform to the style of Dharamsala and regard it as the only orthodox one, or they won't be accepted by the Dalai clique.

If a Tibetan accidentally speaks some Chinese, sings Han songs or criticizes the Dalai clique, he/she will face serious punishment such as a siege or intimidation, or be abused as Han's spy or Han's running dog. Or it will be very hard for them to stay in the Indian Tibetan community and some of them may even be chased and attacked by the extreme Tibet Independence groups. Therefore, the Saque must behave more extremely, violently and more anti-China in exchange for their survival.

However, the 14th Dalai Lama seems to be quite satisfied with this situation. In his statement on March 10 this year, he continued to call the violent criminal activity in 2008 non-violence resistance, and said the younger generation was admired for the faith and courage they showed when carrying forward the just cause of Tibet. On Feb. 9, in Taj Mahal Hotel of India, he said baldly that when the Tibet incident took place in 2008, approximate 99 percent of the Tibetans including teenagers participated in it. And they got voluntarily involved in it for the interest of the Tibetan ethnic group. The great change in their thought marked a great transition.

A well-known saying by Martin Luther King reads: Ultimately, you can't reach good ends through evil means, because the means represent the seed and the end represents the tree. On the one hand, the Dalai Lama spreads the seed of national antagonism in young Tibetan's heart by the "animosity education", on the other hand, he claims his so-called non-violence standpoint, stressing on fostering the contact and communication between the Han and Tibetan people. The two contradictory attitudes have projected his hypocrisy. Just like what Martin Luther King has said, is there anyone who believes that the seed of hatred will grow into a tree of benevolence and bear fruits of harmony?
