Concert held in HK to mark Serfs Emancipation Day
Two well-known Tibetan singers Tenzin and Luozhen held a concert in Hong Kong on Monday to mark the Serfs Emancipation Day, which fell on 28.
The concert, one of the series of activities to celebrate the anniversary of serfs emancipation, featured traditional Tibetan songs, Chinese Erhu (two-stringed Chinese fiddle) and Chinese Zither.
Tenzin and Luozhen sang songs like Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Heavenly Road and Bainang Folk Songs (Bainang is a county located in Xigaze Prefecture, southwestern Tibet).
Tenzin, 48, has won lots of prizes in various vocal competitions and currently is the deputy head of the Tibet Autonomous Regional Song and Dance Troupe. Luozhen has won many prizes in competitions.
