Tibet is a part of China since ancient times. The "Tibet issue" was originated from the containment of China and interference into China's internal affairs by western countries headed by the U.S. and the U.K. The Dalai Lama, a "political monk" pretended to be preaching Buddhist sutras on his trip, but he was actually expressing his view of "Tibet independence" in order to defame China and damage the relations between China and other countries, said the protesters.

"The Dalai Lama is very deceptive in the cloak of a religious leader with many supporters in the West.Through his incitation, the Tibet splittists provoked violence such as self-immolations in an attempt to separate Tibet from China," said the protesters.
It is reported that the protest had been approved by the Auckland City Council. The demonstration zone coincided with the entrance of the lecture hall of the Dalai Lama, where every audience had to pass. No clashes were reported.

It is reported that there was no official activities for the Dalai lama's visit this time, nor focused reports by the local media. And the number of audiences for the lectures was decreased by six times than that in the previous ones.
