The Dalai Lama's stunts
The 14th Dalai Lama, though aging in frail health, enjoyed his travel around the world with the help of his two stunts gained through years of efforts: one is lying and the other is flattering.
Utilizing people's respect to Buddhism, the Dalai Lama attracts followers in the name of "Holiness", which is his old trick. Wearing a cassock, the old lama jazzes around the world in a self-intoxicated state: indulging himself in the illusion of being an emperor, winning "applause" from onlookers with ulterior motives.
Recently, the Dalai Lama tried this trick again. He paid a special visit to "Uncle Sam" and the latter received him with "cordial" hospitality regardless of his traitor identity. They two confided to each other with their respective intentions.
After some unction, "Uncle Sam" hurried to his post of "defender of the world", raising the "big stick" in his hand, "staring at" things around him like a greedy wolf. He is ready to plunder more wealth and resources in the name of "human rights" and "emancipation" by killing the innocent and supporting his puppet.
Uncle Sam's seeming "affluence" and his "world police" flauntation are the biggest temptation for the Dalai Lama, a monk who pursues only self-interest.
This septuagenarian lama was apparently occupied with random thoughts while standing in Uncle Sam's yard, bathing in the soft wind from Mississippi and looking at the Appalachian Mountains in the distance. He can't help longing for the laurel of being "son of Uncle Sam" and "having a bird's eye view of the world", which is called "the fox assuming the majesty of the tiger" in Western fables, or "a dog threatens based on master's power" in Eastern sayings.
Immersed in his reverie, the old lama had no eye for his funny image. He babbled that he would not only fulfill ceremonial duties like the British Queen; he would do something if he only had a ceremonial title; otherwise, he was probably only a nominal leader.
Babbles and dream talks as they are, these are convincing evidence of the Dalai Lama's "deceptive retirement". Or perhaps, he wants to deliver a warning message to Lobsang Sangay, the new representative of the "administration-in-exile": I, the 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso will never reconcile to your puppet.
