Self-immolation maneuvered by "Tibet independence" forces

During the past week, when some Westerners are informed the real situation in China's Tibet Autonomous Region and other four Tibetan-inhabited areas through a painting exhibition, some may be cheated that the Chinese government should take responsibility for self-immolations occurred in Tibetan-inhabited areas.

The "Beauty of Tibet" painting exhibition sponsored by China Tibet Online, China's largest website on Tibet-related information and the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Foundation began its tour in Berlin and Hamburg last Wednesday, attracting a large number of audiences who hope such exhibition to continue in future.

Attracted and convinced by the exhibition, some visitors admitted that they knew little about Tibet; others said their limited information on Tibet basically comes from Western media. They further admitted that their understanding and judgment of Tibet are affected by media report and thus one-sided.

Fortunately, it was right during the exhibition period that a local media for "Tibet independence" issued a piece of shocking news: "Hundreds of 'Tibetans-in-exile' and their supporters living in Dharamsala joyfully greet the 'just torch' relay held by 'Tibetan People's Assembly' on July 26."

With the title "Reason of Self-immolation", the report published photos of smiling faces of the new head of "Tibetan government-in-exile" and those who participated in the launching meeting. The report announced that the meeting was to "spread voices for protesting China around the world" and to incite foreign bodies concerned to hinder China in the excuse of self-immolation incidents in "China's Tibetan areas".

However, the Chinese people have quite different attitude toward the self-immolations compared to that of those for "Tibet Independence".

When Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao answered questions about self-immolation at a press conference in March, he expressed deep sadness to those self-immolators, asking them to cherish life. All people in China including Tibetan people who know the truth of self-immolation feel regrettable for the death of self-immolators although they can not understand their action.

However, head of the "Tibetan government-in-exile" in Dharamsala is so "pleased" with that: At the beginning of last year, they asked Tibetans inside and outside China to follow the example of Tunisia vendors (they were beaten to death by the police, which led to social unrest and regime change), which provided the head of "Tibet independence" with pretext to a make a big fuss.

On the one hand, they declared that the Chinese government should be responsible for self-immolation, requiring heads of some foreign countries to exert pressure on China; on the other hand, they continue to instigate Tibetan monks and nuns to burn themselves in order to "blackmail" the Chinese government.

In order to internationalize the so called "Tibet Issue", the Dalai Lama and his followers try hard to make trouble in China's Tibet and other Tibetan-inhabited areas to create instability; at the same time they wantonly spread rumors in the international community and lay the blame to the Chinese government.

For their insidious political attempt, they take efforts to mantle Tibet and Tibetan-inhabited areas, including sacrificing ordinary people's lives and property. How dehumanizing the "Tibet separatists" are!
