The Dalai Lama good at creating a big hype
The 14th Dalai Lama must have made a delicate plan for his “religious ritual” trip. Even for the “by-product” of his trip, the White House visit, he arranged it perfectly before and after the meeting.
News from around the world reported his moves.
Eager for the meeting
"The Dalai Lama is defending his weekend visit with President Barack Obama, saying he was gratified 'to show an old friend’s face'" and "to show my respect", Washington Post reported on July 18.
Earlier, he also told VOA earlier that he “would be very happy if he could meet President Obama.”
As a self-dubbed "religious leader", why was he so eager to please U.S. President? I bet only he himself knows the exact answer!
Self-display by the meeting
"According to a post on the Dalai Lama's official website, he began to tweet soon after his meeting with US President Barack Obama at the White House (in February last year)," Siliconindia News reported in the story Dalai Lama achieves phenomenal following on Twitter.
The 14th Dalai Lama is really a modern publicist, who knows well about the most popular Internet tool!
Anyway, I would like to ask him a question: "Why don’t you put your energy into promoting Buddhism instead of the political meeting?"
