Phagpalha Gelegnamgyal re-elected as chairman of CPPCC Tibet Committee
Phagpalha Gelegnamgyal was re-elected as chairman of Tibet Autonomous Region Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) at the first session of the 11th CPPCC Tibet Autonomous Region Committee on Jan. 29.
Phagpalha Gelegnamgyal, an ethnic Tibetan, was born in 1940 in Lithang, southwest China's Sichuan Province.
He has been serving as chairman of CPPCC Tibet Autonomous Region Committee and vice chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC since 2003.
