The Tibetan Yak Museum, located in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, reopened Tuesday after its close in middle October last year for an exhibition in the country's capital Beijing to promote the yak culture.
As an anthropological museum themed on yaks and yak culture and a national permanent non-profit organization, it opens to the public for free, aiming to provide a place for people to learn and study about yaks as well as to have fun. From April 18 on, people can visit there from 10:00-17:30 on each day except Monday when it's closed.
With a total investment of 130 million yuan (19 million US dollars), the museum covers an area of over 8,000 square meters and debuted in 2014.
