“Sweaters of Love” for impoverished children
Over 400 "sweaters of love"were distributed to about 400 impoverished children at the School for Blind Children and the No. 2 Primary School at Chengguan District, Lhasa.
The Women's Federation of Chengguan District, Lhasa received the sweaters from the donation of "Disabled Mothers' Lasting Love”"organized by China Women’s Development Foundation.
"We hope that more people will care about these ‘special’ children, and make them feel beloved by the society," said Phurbu Drolma, chairman of the Women’s Federation of Chengguan District.
When a student from School for Blind Children put on the new sweater, she grinned from ear to ear and said, "Thanks to all the uncles and aunties for their care, with these clothes, we will be warm throughout the winter."
