Panchen Lama conducts research in Nagqu
Panchen Lama Erdeni Qoigyijabu, vice president of the Buddhist Association of China, after the successful completion of his first Kalachakra initiation ceremony and other social and Buddhist ceremonies in Shigatse, went to Nagqu from July 29 to August 9 to conduct research and Buddhist ceremonies.
The trip to Nagqu is the second time in ten years that Panchen Lama Erdeni Qoigyijabu has returned to his hometown. Upon his return to Tibet to conduct research and Buddhist ceremonies, the Panchen Lama has received a warm welcome from the Tibetan people and heartfelt support from masses of monks and laypeople.
