"Currently, I have had the honor of conducting a deep discussion with the Panchen Lama, and through these conversations I have been able to feel his profound Buddhist attainments. He is a guide for positive energy," said Gyaltso Ling Rinpoche from the Gyaltso-Ling Monastery in Chamdo, Tibet.

December 8, 2015 was the 20th anniversary of the Panchen Lama’s enthronement. Last month, when the Panchen Lama spoke at the Tibet Buddhism College, Gyaltso Ling Rinpoche also received a blessing from him. Gyaltso Ling Rinpoche said, “The great master and I talked about the tradition and promotion of Tibetan Buddhism, the training of young monks, and other issues. I truly felt his sense of responsibility."

Both Gyaltsen Ling Rinpoche and the Panchen Lama were born in 1990, one day apart. Gyaltsen Ling Rinpoche believed, “The Panchen Lama’s level of knowledge of Buddhism theories is much higher than our peers’. He is an example to the younger generation of lamas."

Ngawang Serje, an eminent monk at Drepung Monastery, said, “In the 20 years since the Panchen Lama has been enthroned, he has carried on the patriotism and respect for Buddhism from past Panchen Lamas, and has made great achievements in the practice of Buddhism, leaving a deep impression on most monks and nuns."

In the 20 years since the Panchen Lama has been enthroned, he has made frequent trips to various areas of Tibet, holding Buddhism activities in these areas, blessing local monks and nuns, and receiving sincere support from lamas, monks, and laypeople. Ngawang Serje said, “The Panchen Lama is highly regarded by many monks and nuns and laypeople."

Bangden Dunyu, vice-president of the Tibet Branch of Buddhist Association of China and vice-president of the Buddhist Association of Shigatse said that today, the 20th anniversary of the Panchen Lama’s enthronement, is a great event in Tibetan Buddhism. Bangden Dunyu believes, “In these 20 years, not only has the Panchen Lama become an adult, but his Buddhism attainments have rapidly ascended, and Tibetan Buddhism has continued to develop forward.”
