Joint meeting system to be established between Sichuan, Yunnan, Tibet and Qinghai

Six delegations from Tibetan-inhabited areas in Sichuan, Qinghai, Tibet and Yunnan held their first joint meeting in Kangding, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Southwest China's Sichuan Province, on Oct. 23rd, 2015. The plan is to set up a joint meeting system between the Tibetan-inhabited areas of the four provinces to facilitate development of regional cooperation and integration.

Regions taking part in the meeting included Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Region, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Region, Yunnan Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Region, Chamdo City of Tibet, Qinghai Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Region and Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Region.

Discussion at the meeting touched on the joint meeting system, Khampa Art Festival and cooperation in the fields of communication, travel, culture, and ecology. A regional cooperation framework agreement was signed at the end on Oct.24th.
