1st Tibetan medicine industrial park outside Tibetan-inhabited areas
The first Tibetan medicine industrial park outside China's Tibetan-inhabited areas has recently settled in the high-tech zone of Shijiazhuang,capital of Hebei Province, people.cn recently.
As an important part of the Chinese medicine, the Tibetan medicine is gradually being recognized and made much of by the Chinese. The development of Tibetan medicine is conducive to both the country and the people.
Covering an area of 5.33 hectares, the industrial park has integrated functions of Tibetan medicine research, development, manufacturing, tourism, clinical recuperation and cultural exhibition and so on.
Currently, its phase-I project has completed the construction of five Tibetan medicine production lines and new-type Tibetan medicine research and development center as well as relevant supporting facilities such as Hebei Provincial Tibetan Medicine Science and Technology Museum. The phase-II project is planned to cover an area of over 80,000 square meters and build workshops, engineering technology center, Tibetan medicine hospital, exhibition hall and research center.
The Tibetan medicine industrial park is expected to produce 500 million capsules, 200 million tablets and 500 million pills, with an expected annual output value of more than 75 million yuan (11.83 million U.S. dollars).
