The tourism departments of Chamdo City of Tibet, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province and Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province jointly promised to "share resources, information, routes and tourists to achieve a multi-win result" and provide barrier-free trans-regional tourist services.

Tibet, Sichuan, Yunnan and Qinghai are adjacent with similar landforms and interlinked culture. In particular the prefectures and cities in the border areas of Tibet and the three provinces share the distinctive Khampa Culture, forming a tourist “golden delta” in southeast China.

According to Huang Fei, Director General of Chamdo Bureau of Tourism, Asha Yanghong[a1] , director general of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Bureau of Tourism and other relevant principals, in recent years, Chamdo, based on the tourist brands of Three-River Basin, Ancient Tea Route, Khampa Culture and Red Tour, has launched a number of quality tourist attractions and routes; Yushu focuses on deep integration of culture and commerce, and tourism has become a local characteristic and advantageous sector; and the tourism of other prefectures and cities also has their own characteristics.Their in-depth cooperation will have great potential.

The tourism departments of Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture also stated that they would integrate the resources of the four areas and open new tourist routes around the multiple channels to Tibet, and at the same time promote the tourism marketing of the neighboring prefectures and cities to build a tourist brand featuring Khampa Culture and achieve a multi-win situation.
