"Aiding Tibet is my lifetime dream and my choice. I have some memorable moments in Tibet. I still remember the smiles of the simple Tibetan people, foreign tourists' praise to me and the baptism of my soul from the motherland," said Liu Menggang, an English tour guide in Tibet, who started to aid Tibet in 2007 and guided foreign tourists to appreciate the local customs and intoxicating sceneries there.

Upon arriving in Tibet, Liu suffered from the altitude sickness. Suffering from vomit and insomnia, he nearly had a nervous breakdown. Sometimes he had difficulty standing up. Despite this, he kept holding on and worked hard.

Liu felt excited and nervous to join the group of tour guides in Tibet. He needed to spend a lot of time in the preparation works because he did not know much about the local climate, religion and customs. Liu read books about Tibet and compiled the notes until late at night every day.

"As a tour guide, I have the responsibility of bridging China and foreign tourists. Through my introduction, foreign tourists can have a good understanding of Tibet. And I think this is a holy job. Telling them appropriate information shows my respect to Tibet and foreign friends," said Liu Menggang.
