BEIJING(Sept.1)China Tibet Online-At the forum to mark the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War on Aug.31, Sun Chunlan, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department stressed that the fine tradition of the anti-Japanese national united front be should inherited and carried forward, the Chinese people at home and abroad should be united to work together to create a better future for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Sun pointed out that the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression owed to the Chinese people but also the anti-Japanese national united front. Initiated by the CPC, the anti-Japanese national united front was set up and unified all possible anti-Japanese strengths to build a unified force of the whole nation to resist against the Japanese aggression. Historical experience shows that to consolidate and develop the broadest possible patriotic united front, China must uphold the leadership of the CPC and patriotism, adhere to great unity and great coalition, insist on seeking common ground while reserving differences and follow the correct policies and strategies. China needs to establish a high degree of confidence in taking the socialist road with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the CPC, make suggestions and contributions to completing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects, resolutely safeguard national unification, ethnic unity and national security, and unify powerful forces to adhere to and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics.
