The Ramoche Temple, covering an area of 4,000 square meters, was a temple of Gelug sect built in 641 A.D. in Lhasa. Houseing a statue of Sakyamuni (founder of Buddhism) at age eight and many other precious cultural relics, the Ramoche Temple was listed as a key cultural protection unit of both regional and national levels in 1962 and 2001 respectively.[Photo/China Tibet Online]
